Re: Lier Bombing Results
I see no one has lost their CAS Skills. Always fun to get some kills during the campaign. Shame on the Axis when we target an AB.

Re: Lier Bombing Results
That place was a gong show yesterday. Ma has shown just a fraction of the excellent potiental of level CAS bombing. With a crew of 5 or 6 bombers its even more nasty.

Re: Lier Bombing Results
i think that with good leader CAS with level bombers can win the fight over city.
it is just probably very hard to coordinate, but that is what is war about....
you need group of bombers - 1-3 should be enough, fighters divided, most of them over city at like 1000 - 2500m, 2 as backup at 4-5 for high cons, 1-2 fighters as close air support going with bombers on their way, waypoints, rally point for bombers close but safe distance where they can circle and wait for command that it is clear enough for them to come, and some ground people which will tell what they need to attack, mark AAA etc....
i find air fight very uncoordinated in alied side (i heard that axis are better in this).
like if pilots dont recognize that safety is in numbers.... i see every time dozen pilots on mission each 5km away from other.... today we were doing good in mission with good leader, waypoints, clear ordes, everybody stuck together, and everytime we engage we were higher than enemy and with odds at least 2:1. I saved 2 frendlies by clearing their six they saved me several times, almost no loses and good hunt....
everybody says that altitude saves lives... i think good leadership and teamwork is that thing which trully saves lives and is most important.
btw. that is why i like our bombing missions
edit.: and i dont understand, why fighter sweeps start only when there is like 50 pilots on the runway after like 20 minutes of waiting and 15 "last calls", when 10 fighters cooperating should clear the skies over city so easilly

Re: Lier Bombing Results
teamwork as in wingman saves lives.
When bombing ABs we should go in waves: first wave kills german. Next wave kills him again when he spawns in. Next wave kills him jet again... and we could do that until they fokk spawning in... LOL. Anyway that is a way to pin soldiers down in there hiding place.
