Best Christmas song ever...?

Post by thor »

Fairytale of New York
(is it possible to embed videos here?)

Fairytale of New York is not only beautiful, it is thought provoking. It carries a cry for help that everyone or anyone… can relate to: a cry to have a hand to hold, to be taken care of – to be loved by someone. We cannot do everything on our own.
So happy Christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true
I guess this song should be a hopeful bombers song

no the pipes of peace (paul macartney) has to be one of the most thought provoking christmas songs (see vid), especially has i just found out that my gran (89) died today (1600 GMT).

She is one of the last Pringles from the lowland clan to bear the name (before marriage to an ulster scot clan) who has stayed within 60 miles (only 2 others) of the 800 year old family historical land.

If any1 could help my family to find a Pringle piper so she can pass over in true clan style, all my family will be enternally grateful

I ask you all to say a prayer for Louisa Weir (Pringle) as she was one of the last of a dying breed.
And when i get to heaven,
to Saint Peter i will tell,
Another soldier reporting sir,
ive served my time in hell.

I'm sorry to hear that boot. Our prayers are with you and your family. She sounds like she was quite a woman.

Sorry for your loss Boot. We will have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I wish I could help you with a Pringle piper. What I will do is google for it and learn something about it - I haven't got a clue what it is.
