Hisashiburi da neh!

Post by Oyaji »

Or in English... "Long time no see!"

I had hoped to attend the convention this year - sadly work load precludes attendance once again. I heard from Reddog that Tzulcha went... oh well, maybe next year.

Good news is that I hope to be back online soon... wish me luck on this. If all works re internet connection, I'll once again be able to offer the Dambusters my services as escort or bomber pilot, depending on what is required.

Hope to see you all soon in game.

S!

I was a bit unclear... I mean I don't give a sh..t what I'm bombing - as long as I fly with my friends.

Update:

Looks like I was overly optimistic... tried wireless card and no networks are avalable to connect to... anyone have advice on range extension techniques for wireless networks? I was thinking a parabolic dish, but don't know how big to make it. Maybe a satellite dish would work - if I can determine the focal point and what orientation to use for antenna mounting... plus need to break out the soldering iron to add a co-axial connector to my wireless card, source ~100 feet co-ax cable, cobble up a mount (rooftop? pole?), and come up with someone to swivel the antenna until I get a signal, haha!

I am back on the beach for the summer, and I can't get a service contract for just 4 months of internet service :(

On the plus side, I WILL be sailing every day, hittitng on chicks the whole while - and getting paid for it :D

Any advice will be appreciated. Meantime, shoot some Huns down for me - if they ain't all flying Allied now :)
