Found a good enough MMO to replace the good ol'days of wwiionline.

If interested, try out War Thunder (click link to receive the free credit)

Copy and paste http://warthunder.com/en/registration?r ... e_13309928

This will give you the free 50 credits to spend on research. Check out War Thnder on web for more details.

If enough are interested, the squadron can be formed, just contact me ingame airborg for the rather complex research options etc to get levelled quickly...if there is such a thing for bombers :)

Hi Kiz!

S! airborg, long time no see!

Yup, we have been tracking War Thunders progress for awhile now. Its the thread named, World of Planes, it of course was started prior to the name change. There are a few of us that play the game every once in awhile, peg was gracious enough to put up the golden eagle to create our 617 Dambusters Squadron.

War Thunder isnt quite the strategic bombing game WWIIOL used to be yet, but its slowly getting there. We are really hoping and waiting for World War and bomber cockpits to be introduced...Hopping into decent bombers right from the start seems to be an issue for the guys that dont do the fighter thing, but they are getting there.

cya in the skies!

Hi Sniper, happy new year...and yea, bit lacking on interior but still nice looking game. While waiting for the ever elusive cockpit, have levelled the bomber tree now pounding the bases and game over for the ememy in no time LOL....thos B17's with the 2x2000lb bombs are the buz. Miss your escort though ;)

THink I found reddog but as yet not got him with me. Trying the world of warplanes too so hope to hook up with ya soon

I found World of Warplanes a pretty abysmal attempt of the World of Wargaming franchise although World of Warships is looking very nice and closed beta should start sometime Q1/2, I still play World of Tanks.
617DB Dambusters squad is setup if anyone wants an invite, Sniper and Reddog are already in the squad and have invite priviledges so if you're looking for a home, I or they can happily add your name.

I am a little slow on the levelling side as I have been waiting for World War and Bomber Cockpits to make an apperance but you will find me flying US bombers (just unlocked A20G Havoc) and fighters in the Arcade battles at the moment couple times a week or on weekends, I have yet to try the realistic or simulations as I fly with a friend who doesn't have a joystick.

How are you guys finding V1.37?

That was some fun stuff.

Good to see Airborg again and after many fits and sputters we hooked up for a few and compared notebooks.

Awesome also, Peg was there and brought a couple of Friends that joined the squad, not to be confused with the squadron. LOL :iconFU:

617 TS was down but hopefully snippet will sort.

:iconpidu :iconpidu

Aye good to catch with you last night Reddog, I could easily see the confusion on the Squad thing!

What are realistic battles like at the moment, we tried a few last night before I bumped into you and you only get one life and that's it? Also are you flying with a joystick and cockpit view in realistic battles?

I just unlocked the B-25J-1.

Hey airborg. Been way too long. How are you? Hope all is well. I haven't been playing much lately. Even got tired of flying HE111's. Looking for something new so I might have to give this a try. Miss the old days, bombing for days on end without stopping. The staggering Airborg Climb....LOL. Look forward to speaking with you again soon.

You didn't try the realistic or simulation mode then?

My Internet and phone line will be activated today/tomorrow as I just moved house, so hopefully will be back flying this weekend.
