Codguy will tell you he did exactly as he was trained. It's what saved all of them. He is one hell of a pilot. If you noticed on the tapes, he sounded dead calm on the radio. I've heard a pilot go in, knowing he was, and his voice was cool and collected all the way to impact. His voice never waivered. Pilots are amazing people.

I like how he summed it up in saying, that everything he had did in his life prior had been training for this one event in his life.

I also laughed like hell when he said after the plane stopped , he looked over at the copilot and said well that wasn't that bad heh?

I bet he said "wow can you smell that" to his copilot, who in return said "what, burnt birds"?... No he said, the shit in my pants! hehe.

Another good point I think he made was when he said people are tried of hearing bad news. The whole thing could have turned out so different.

He went on to say he couldn’t sleep for the first few nights afterwards (understandable) as he could stop thinking what he could have done differently. I wonder what it was that went thought his mind, Should have they been aware or made aware of the birds in the area, or was he thinking about what happened at the back of the plane after they ditched. I guess we’ll never know!
