And on the 7th Day GOD Created Pure Black.. I will be uploading more style's and asking your opinion. This is the black and blue theme that was the original forums when we were hosted on Alamo-scouts site.

The upper portion/Logo part is still being worked on.

This is just a test theme.

Voice your opinions....

OK here are 2 web sites that have styles we can choose:

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/

OR

http://www.phpbbhacks.com/stylesdemo/

IN choosing a style make sure it is for phpbb3 and don't choose one that is a windowed style(Not Full Screen). Post your links

choose styles that are not in a boxed(cropped)fixed size

yes you can select styles in the UCP , of the styles that are loaded on the server

My 2 cents are we should stick with something that is "close" to the color scheme we use on the website. Here's a few that are close (none are perfect). Unfortuantely, there's a couple of fixed width styles that look pretty good too.

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/eTech

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/Genvision

Now this next one is probalby my favorite, because you can play with the colors using their "More Colors" tool at the top of the page

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/Hermes

Play with the colors a bit and you can get it looking pretty close to our homepage (lower right image in link below).

I loaded Hermes style you can choose it now in your UCP

After some tweaking by Codguy graphically . I have made the Hermes style the default style, it is very close to the original forums style when I joined back in 04.

It seems to load faster that subsilver Too.

If it doesn't suit your taste you can always choose subsilver as your choice in your UCP under Board Preferences

Thanks again Codguy for adding the logo S!

My avatar doesn't match the background.

I mean the background, it used to match exactly the subsilver colour. Looks like whoever made that pack needs to lern2transparency.
I grabbed your comments from Melcar's post and pasted them here, where it should be.

The style as you know wasn't created by us. Maybe you can tweak the avatar and then I'll reload it, or find some additional Avatar packs to upload, that will work.

Yeah I know you guys didn't make it, not blaming you.

Codguy, which graphic format works for transparency on webpages?

I believe gifs are the only web-compatible formats that support transparency. I don't think pngs work on the web (but I could be wrong).

I usually work in photoshop/fireworks in .png format since it supports layers then save the final version to be uploaded as a .gif to be safe
