quick question for all you computer gurus out there

my son was going to get the game below for Christmas... i didn't want to fork out $400 for a ps3 or a Wii so i bought it for the pc without even looking at the system requirements... doh

i think the processor i have is a 1.6 Ghz (you remember tracy? i'm at work) with a G-Force 5700ish video card

the game recommendations are that i have a 2.4 Ghz processor

is there a cheap fix to this problem?

i downloaded the demo version and it plays choppy as crap... i told my son maybe i could get a new video card but when i went to go research it today at work, i realized that it may just be that my processor is too old

would buying a shiny new video card help? those 8000 series graphics cards are like $300... for a bit more i could get a Wii

is putting a top end video card in my old rig a joke?

Well I would say that it will run, but you will need to turn the eye candy down, you could always update the G-card with a second hand one from ebay or something...CPU should be ok!
