I lost a friend yesterday.
Mike Doheny was my best friend's brother and former Marine. He leaves behind a wife and the biggest dog I've ever seen.
I gotta say, at times like this it really isn't worth the 15k a month.
Story here
Anyone here doing frontline contract work?

Again thank you gents.
I've been on the phone all morning with Nebraska VA and the family trying to get funding for the trip home.
Its truly a fucked up situation thats compounded by a shitty contracting company.
They are going to release $3k to get Mike from Delaware to Broken Bow, NE. Thats paid for by the family. Mike's brother is in TQ near Fallujah and wants to come home with Mike. If the VA can't help, Mike's body will be shipped via "space-available cargo" on some freight plane and the family is definitely not excited about that.
Tetra-tech, like most contract companies, could give two shits about its employees when they die. Paying for those expenses is like pulling teeth with a rusty spoon to them.
