Cant play.....

I am getting 3 fps every where today and I simply cant play like that. Every time I get killed its by something like a 232 that appears before my very eyes and shoots me. I certainly cant fly, let alone play as inf. Recoil on the ATR takes over a second because it lags out so bad. Ill DL any patches they come out with but if my FPS doesnt go up alot Im not resubbing, I only bought one month. My sub runs out july 15th or something if its not fixed by then Im not payiung for another 3 FPS month. Sorry guys but I thought they would have this game working by now. My mistake.

What do you have for a machine?

I just spent the last week and a half in the service forums with gnash updating drivers and the like to get 18.5 working at about 12-50 FPS. Why should it change soo much?

P4 1.5
512RAM I know not enough. I may replace this with bigger sticks.
6800GT vid card 256RAM
Cable connection

Every single time CRS has introduced a huge patch like this it kills my ability to play, thats why I havent played consistantly since 2001.

As a suggestion with the vid card match you have you may want to look at increasing your CPU before your RAM. With the GPU and Vid Ram you have I think your CPU is your bottleneck more than your System RAM.

I cleaned house yesterday and erased Playnet and Playgate files both through the unistall in control pannel and then physically from C Drive. The did a complete reinstall from scratch. That in its self gained me about 6fps. Was on this afternoon and it held solid.

Thanks for the info Solitaer, unfortunately your in basically the same boat as bundy is with his son's PC. here's that thread

http://alamo-scouts.com/617/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1603

Here is your mobo specs that are holding you back as far as FPS nirvana goes

Designed To Support up to 3GB PC133 SDRAM: the highest density SDRAM desktop boards available. -- Yes it was at the time but we in DDR ram now which has a much better bandwidth

# Support for the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor: Supports 478-pin Pentium® 4 processor in µPGA package and Intel® NetBurst™ microarchitecture, including a 400 MHz system bus. (Supports 2.0GHz, 1.9GHz, 1.8GHz, 1.7GHz, 1.6GHz, 1.5 GHz, and 1.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processors)-- this is a early P4 with a 400 mhz bus, P4 are at 800mhz bus with regular proc and 1066MHZ with there extreme edition

# 1.5V 4X/2X AGP - this is your agp bus and it's only 4x, agp 8x was last speed before PCI-express came out this year .

So like bundy you can maybe see some results by maxing ur memory, dabble in overclocking that p4 and upgrading the video to say a nvidia fx5900 or so, and it would help some, maybe. Or option 2 upgrade ur
mobo,proc,memory and vid...exspensive propositions
