When I get to play it's always realistic, go for the airfields in the rear area of the maps.

Airborg showed me that in Arcade and it is same in Realistic.

The map indicates the damage to the base.

If ya get a couple of bombers and some escorts you can drop , RTB, gotta land safely, rinse, repeat., and most times your side will win.

I Love it when on the 3rd run back to target, your greeted with the intercom of "The Enemy has No More Planes"...

WOOT!!!

What time Sunday, maybe I can make it?

S!

I did not know that about the airfields on realistic was the same as arcade, I was just going for the forward enemy bases, if that is the case then I will take another look at my approach to the enemy field and see if I can last longer.

My Planes on the US side are the A20G, 2 x B25s and the B17E plus some fighters, got the Wellington on the British side.

dam! youre packin some heat! I need to get me that B17. Awhile back I watched a video about bombing in War Thunder when using different bomb loads from different planes. I think the guy said that a B17 with 2000lbs took like 8 runs (or 8 bombs, i cant remember) on the enemy AFs to completely blow it.

Just Hit a Base with 3x1000 with the 25-J and map rendered 25% damaged so 12,000 lbs to destroy if all hit...

:toke:

The 25-J can carry 3 x1000's, it's a weapons add-on. You have to add the rack to carry them 1st.

well, that cost a lot and even needed to use golden eagles...

Yall did say Airfields right? I just bombed one and got nothin. Or are you talking about the "Bases"? I bombed one of those and got some points from it, although I never made a successful RTB and liftoff due to getting strafed.

Do the bases have different thresholds? I bombed one with 1, then 2 1000lbers and it blew but on a different map I bombed it right away with 3 and it only did half the damage...

ps. the game may make me mad but it sure looks nice!

Yeah it looks beautiful, flew my B17E last night taking a long way round but we were winning anyway even before I got to the airfield (To try out Reddog idea) so I diverted and dropped 8 x 500s on one of the bases, climbing through the clouds was just something else, even FSX doesnt come close with the REX weather mod. Really really really wish WW2Online was like this I would never complain again, honest gov! :iconbutt:

Can we maybe organise some flying this weekend?
