Going to unsub for a while

Post by Pegasusbelgar »

I feel the rats has lost its direction on the product that they 'try' deliver to the playerbase. Until the airwar and mainly the RDP is vastly improved i.e new bombers, new tactical targets (marshalling yards, U-boat pens, ship yards, more factories), there is little point of my subscription to continue if i am not flying with you chaps.
I am exploring other areas and may take a look at Warbirds and Rise of Flight again (they releasing the Hadley page 0/400 bomber soon), or another MMO as well waiting for World of Tanks to release.

I will as always keep my eye open on this forum and see how the game is developing and see what you chaps are upto, but I cant see us getting a Manchester/Wellington in the next 2-3 years.

I see Reddog's post. It's #152 on page 8, followed by a post from Kizmet. I saw Main4ce's post last night on the following page but it's not there this morning. Strange as I didn't think Main4ce stated anything that would warrant a post removal.

As for myself, I spoke to Slicker/Cutr last night about the changes that have occured in game recently, including this new pricing plan. We decided to stick it out for a couple of months at the higher per month rate to see what effect it has on the game population. The population is real bad right now and I foresee it getting worse. If anyone can dream up game changes and pricing plan changes to drive off the customer base, it's the Rats. JEEZ!!! Thank you again, Reddog, for telling me off making my decision to not go builder much easier. :)

My main issues with the game at this point are......

1.) the early termination fees on the easy pay plans and the higher base fee.
2.) absolutely no progress being made on the strategic aspects of the game, mainly RDP bombing.
3.) FRUs. I spent last night at an FB chasing an FRU around. As soon as I found it, it would disappear and another one would pop up a few hundred meters away. As soon as I tracked it down, rinse and repeat until the FB was blown. It was like a dog chasing it's tail. All that Axis ML did was move around the perimeter of the FB setting up FRUs until the FB was blown. There is no way a defending force could survive an onslaught like that, especially during underpop. It was hard enough when it was opels that you could hear and see. Whoever dreamed up and introduced FRUs into the game should be shot and removed from the gene pool. They "may" work when the population is balanced. But, when there is an overpop situation, it just exacerbates the situation.

This game is getting so much like an arcade game. Based on the decisions being made, maybe the Rats want to drive off the older, experienced players. Maybe their goal is to have only 13 yr old freckle-faced kids running around shooting guns blindly.

:(

welp woklein's sub isnt up until Feb... yall can use her if u want. just pm me for the info

its sad to see this BS price plan, no fix to RDP timers, and miss direction CRS is doing. it sux but i completely understand where peg is coming from. but as we all know, wwiiol is like crack. so just stop by and say hey, youll be back (hopefully sooner then later) :D

what did reddog post that pissed them off so much? reddog hardly posts anything, let alone and angry post lol

i really hoped wwiiol would live for a long time but i gota agree with cono, i think its heading down the shite hole... the "china patch" was supposed to save everything and they spent so much time prepping that and yet we hear nothing. then the things above and just how things have been in the forums, you say one thing bad about the game and boom its locked.

idk i guess only time will tell

on a side note...i just spent $55 on the new medal of honor and after only 3 days of playing 1-1.5 hours each day its already done...how many 6-12 hour days have you been able to play wwiiol back in the day.

Hmmm....I seem to remember one of us leading flights for 28 straight hours. Then your young ass turning around in the next operation and leading flights for 32 straight hours. Yep, WWIIOL is crack for sure!!

By the way young man, when are you gonna post your mailing address for us? I'm still waiting! More popcorn and goodies headed your way when you do! :toke:

It was crack, back in the day!

Even with the crappy setup in past (110 only in T-0, who the fark thought that would work?), gaps in EWS to allow skirting, etc), it was still an awesome game.

But today, I simply don't miss it any more. It actually makes me sad, but the air war is boring me to tears. I hardly never fly except with Bose.
