Friendly Air Collisions ARE in game.....

Post by Kizmet »

[QUOTE=javelin1]
( Raises index finger into the air.)
I read this is the Q & A forum

Q: Any thought about friendly collisions for airplanes?. Just like the ground guys, the air guys shouldn't be able to occupy the same place with more than one vehicle. - Infidel1

GOPHUR: I thought they already do?

RICKB: Ditto. (looks through code) The only special case is that if you're in a ground vehicle *you* won't collide with an airplane (to prevent planes from flipping tanks), but guy in the airplane will always collide with everything on his front end.

Now there is a period of time where collisions are turned off right when you spawn in, maybe that's where you're getting that impression.

THe key work here is FREINDLY air
I have seen no Freindly collisions you can fly right tru your buddys plane if you want to. If there were freindly Collisions how many guys would kill
each other trying to get to that one juicy EA. lol

Wow, is this going to change the way everyone flies in wwiiol or what. The rats confirm there is collision code for the Air Game. OOPS, guess it's never worked since day one. That's scarey.

Yep, it's suppose to be there. RickB says it's there. I can't believe that any of them would say it's in game. Man, how the hell did these guys ever make it in business. Unreal.

What really scares me is that I just wished for it last week... and see now. This week I'll wish for a bigger bomber!

I was a bit unclear... I mean I don't give a sh..t what I'm bombing - as long as I fly with my friends.

No bundy, we'll just do it as it used to be done get the planes to line-astern on the af and take off one after another while the flight lead circles. Hell we might even need an inf spawned in as flicht controller

No problem. I'll teach you Air Traffic Control, and GCI, Ground Control Intercept as well when Radar makes it into game. Should be quite interesting.

Friendly Air Collisions ARE in game.....

I wish it was...

Teach people not only to have FUN but also fly with more disipline on how it was or close to back in the day. Of course friendly collisions happened it was the fact of life.
Would stop the eight spitfires chasing down one Me-109 down to the deck, make people learn to obtain gun solution and fire rather than the seven behind the lead firing over his shoulder, that really annoyed me in Warbirds, Fooking quakers!, Leaning to use wingman tactics more as alot of the time it is just Quake in the skys.
