The RDP War is Raging On!

Post by Sniper62 »

Apparently there's been a pretty big uptick in RDP bombing on both sides, especially at the beginning of the map per the usual. Yall should check it out as a new map just started last week.

We also just came out with the 2022 Roadmap and I was able to get some RDP goodies on there.
RDP STRATEGIC BOMBING LAYER UPDATES

RDP is crucial to the overall war effort, and it's a serious component of the air game. Therefore we're going to be applying more of our energy and resources into addressing some player concerns, ranging from:

-Bomber Pilots ditching their aircraft after dropping bombs on a factory
-Consolidating US RDP effects to the UK factories rather than split 50/50 between UK & France
-RDP now affects non-aircraft with less of a penalty (configurable)
-Extended factory rebuild times to 72 hours from 100% damage
-The Axis will be getting 9 more factories
-We will be looking into making RDP side specific instead of country-specific
-We will be looking at expanding RDP to not just big factories but smaller town factories
-We will be looking into connecting localized bombing to affect supply, fuel, and ammo
-We will be looking into visible supply lines (trains and shipping)
You can read or listen to the 2022 Roadmap and me talking about the above here: https://www.wwiionline.com/game-news/de ... wii-online

Still no clone bombers to follow your lead, this makes larger formations, same how it works in Aces High and Warbirds. A real shame.

Cloned bombers wasn't brought up this year, it'd require quite a bit of Dev time and we only have limited resources with the current priorities.

Big news though, the Ju88a4 is finally release! Hop in and check it out. The next campaign will have an interesting RDP war when it kicks off.
