I am looking forward to meeting and flying with the 617th. I am a long-time level bomber dating back the the mid 90s in "WarBirds". Along with me, you will meet my son, Katraz and our friend Hannibal. We have been engaged in WWIIOL for several years, on and off, and last flew with the 92nd. We have always flown Allied. Working with a level bombing outfit has been my goal. I hope to have a schedule that will allow me to participate in regular squad activities and certainly, to sharpen my skills. You can be sure that I will seek the advice of my mates in the 617th.

The three of us are Saitek equipped with X52s + pedals and ready to go with TS3.

Personally, I am 62 years old and started taking flying lessons at the age of 11. Aviation is a lifetime passion. We are in Central Florida, USA, GMT +5.

We'll will be waiting for an invite!

Good to hear that people are still into bombing like the pros did it back in the day! The majority of the 617 don't play like we used to, there are a few of us that hop on every now and then though. So, there arent squad nights happening like there used to be but you can catch forrest or I in game to hook up with. I'll get on friday and saturday nights.

Where in central fl? I grew up in Lakeland and charlie3 lived in Winter Haven.

cya in the skies!

Welcome.

I don't fly WW2Online any more and my background is flying 617 Sqdn in Warbirds, WW2O and WT. Waiting for the Enduring Conflict missions (6 hour jump in, jump out missions) to be release in War Thunder and I will fly a lot more.

We're in North Tampa. Online flying isn't what it used to be. Back in WarBirds, we had a room with 10 computers laid out in positions to crew a B17. We would take turns at each crew position. It was hilarious fun! We flew almost every night as part of the Tres Equis squad. One night we launched a plan and simultaneously closed all the airfields.

Now, my son, Katraz and his roommate Hannible and I log in frequently. We will be sure to look for you guys on the weekends.

HOLY CR...err..COW! :)

I just registered the other day, with the intent to see what activity the DamBusters were generating, as I haven't been seeing anyone from the squadron online. Lately, we Allied ground pounders have been getting our butts handed to us, such as the night before last, with the Nastis throwing five regiments against one of ours. With all theirs fully supplied, we were getting worn down, despite our best efforts. Even one or two planes taking out Axis factories could make a HUGE difference, so if any DamBusters are available, you're needed at ANY time. 4Wing is still flying, and has at least a couple people online in the evenings, so perhaps they could fly escort, if needed.

I would LOVE to fly, but currently have only a Starter Account, which is normally tier one fighters only. I could certainly take up a Hurri-box and fly escort, though, if we could get some DamBusters in the air. I don't have much flight sim experience, though...barely enough to keep from being a lawn dart...well, most of the time, anyway. :) I can be online most evenings after 9-10pm US Eastern time. Please let me know if anything will be happening.

By the way, heya Tuxedo. We're neighbors. I live in the south end (butt end) of Lutz, a mile north of Bearss Avenue, off Livingston Avenue...so North Tampa area for me as well. I'll be 59 in December, so I'm another old fart. :) I got started late in life, so my sons are 12 and eight. In the next few years, I plan on having them in games with me, so you'll likely see them around if you're here long enough.

***EDIT: If I'm ingame, I'm almost ALWAYS on the Allied TeamSpeak server ( ts.wwiionline.com:9988 - No password ). You'll likely find me in the 12th Royal Lancers room, a bit below 4Wing.

And...btw, Sniper... I grew up in Lakeland, from age eight. Moved down from Chicago. LHS class of 1975, FSC class of 1979. Used to work in the Auburndale/Winter Haven area too, at a few different places including the OLD Cypress (bowling) Lanes on Havendale Boulevard, when I was in college.***

Good to see people still around. I am a Hero Builder and have kept my account open even though I don't fly much at all. Normally on a night I know sniper62 will be on. We've known each other since he was 13 in game. Been through his real tour of duty with the US Army in Korea and then in Iraq. He's turned out to be quite a man. You'll like him if you haven't met him yet. You should try to meet up with him. There are all kinds of tricks we have develope in level bombing to include being able to hit target even when the target is completely obscured by rain and clouds, we can hit target from 8k in game and other cool things. He knows all of this. Hell, if we get enough people to run a squad night, to include all of you here, I think I might just join in. Have a blast every time I play with sniper.

I am Retired, 58, live in Rochelle Georgia in southern georgia.

Hope to see some of you soon.

Sniper you have my number so hit me up if you get anything going.

Folks, I have it on good authority this is a pretty close representation of what a photo of Tuxedo would look like. Now, the guy in the picture here is a stand-in, but I think he catches the overall essence pretty well. When Tuxedo logs back in, he can correct me if I'm wrong. ;)
