Wellington Bomber Finally Released!

Post by Sniper62 »

With the release of 1.37.2.0 this week, the Allies finally have their medium bomber. The Axis already have their Ju88 as their attack bomber and now the Wellington rounds out new bombers on each side. Also in this release, the Axis received 9 more factories, making each side have 18 total factories. On top of that, RDP has been merged for all Allied nations. Meaning that it will be comparable to bombing the Axis factories and effecting all supply across the map. This should help motivate Axis RDP bombers to get up and put some damage on factories.

The Wellington's release has created a stir in the forums to bring back some long ago bomber formations and Strat Bombing. I'm going to make it my goal to try and get a Big Bomber Monday going again, just to get motivation and some really cool and unique missions flying in WWIIOL. Currently, the map was almost finished by the Axis but is now pushing back east so BBMs will have to wait until the start of the next map.

With the big bomb load, just a shy more than the He111, the Wellington has a true tail gunner with multiple MGs. Having a formation of Wellis is going to be tough for an interceptor to just fly up behind all willy nilly.

Wellington Mk III
Loadout 1: 9 x 500lb bombs
Loadout 2: 18 x 250lb bombs

S! Hope to see yall in game.

Features

The Wellington Mk III has been added to the Royal Airforce (RAF)
Nine (9) new factories have been added to the Axis side: Zwolle, Meppel, Hoogeveen, Harlingen, Limburg and Frankfurt
All Allied factories have been combined for RDP purposes, bombing one factory will affect all Allied resupply times

Bomber Loadouts have been re-added to the game

Squad Missions have been added:
The Squad must have five (5) members online in order for Squad Missions to be available
Only one (1) Squad Mission per side, per Squad

I must have missed the email or didn't get it.

I will be around this weekend, even possibly Friday evening.

poke me a message on Discord as that's generally the easiest way to get hold of me.

I got a Honeycombe Yoke I would like to try and get working in the game, it is mainly for MSFS, my only concern is I would have to buy some pedals as I do have a twisty Logitech as my current backup.

Ended up doing just that. Then it gets weird.

I looked on Amazon and Ebay before I ordered the pot's, only eBay had them, used of course and very proud of their used status.

Then after the pot replacement didn't fix the issue, I Search again on Amazon and Viola there are 4 sets available of the Pro Pedals for twice as much as they originally cost.

But new in box.

Anyway, they are here tomorrow.

Hopefully Friday night, I'll give it a go Online.
