Hi, guys... Greetings to (what's left of) the Dambusters.

I said to myself, over and over, that I wouldn't come back and beat my head against the wall, trying to wheedle, cajole, implore, and/or inspire some level of RDP activity from your squadron. I lied to myself because here I am, back again.

Steam release is coming up. The game is getting better. Although the loss of 1.36 pre-Steam is a disappointment, I can see where the Rats are coming from, and I'll give it a wait and see. That being said, if the Dambusters are EVER going to get back in gear, now is the time. If the activity can be ramped up and stable, maybe runs a couple nights a week(?), by the time the game goes active on Steam, the Dambusters will be able to harvest their share of the new recruits. Remember that current players knowing about the Dambusters' activity will allow them to pass that information along to the incoming players, who can then get in touch and be recruited.

What about a Blues Brothers moment?

If not now, when? There will never be a better time.

Just out of curiosity, why would you come on to our website to insult us?

A few of us are in game and as a FYI you are not our inspiration nor is it your job to beat your head against a wall trying to get more of us to play a video game.

May I suggest going out and getting laid? It may calm you down a bit.

Wow! How things change. Look at this, from 2015.

I wanted to join the Dambusters. I wanted to learn RDP from the best. I wanted to fly missions that actually mattered, with a group which could do significant damage, even in a single mission. I got promises. If I may paraphrase: "We're waiting for the next update. Then, at least some of us will be back." I saw that at least twice, but the Dambusters coming back never happened.

Why would I come on your website...? Well, a couple years ago, I was hoping it would be my website as well.

Sorry I bothered you. Sorry I ever bothered at all.

Irish,

You were just 4 years late back then, now multiplied by however long..

What you can take away from it all is that we are still here, still have subscriptions, and maybe just see something that makes even the most Jaded of Us, to still hang out and keep in touch,
and watch the game's progress.

Who knows maybe Steam will bring back the 100+ allied raids that I got to experience back in tha day, with all the crazy mofo's that were there atm.

S!, you don't have to motivate us, when the Rats make it worth doing again, it might happen.

Cheers :iconpidu :iconjuke: :iconpidu :iconjuke:

*...waiting for steam* *beginning of june....* *...middle of june* , now its SUMMER '17 lol. Rats need to just say "its done when its done" so we dont have so much hype blowing up their ass'. I was keeping a close eye on the progress for 1.36 for awhile and never saw it budge, hell steam is still showing 75% ready. Lot to do with a few people.

IN OTHER NEWS....got a job as an intern for a local school district as a systems administrator/pc specialist...have to see if it turns into a full on hire by the school year, then i can move and quit using red and black probes in potatoes to power my f***ing internet.

na, this team has learned from the past team's mistakes and are keen not to give specific dates anymore because of this exact thing. the goal has always been set for the summer of 17 realistically, there are still two more months to go in summer ;)

just like most things that deal with code, it always turns out to be more than you think it will be and 1.36 is one of those cases. it sucks, i agree, but it is what it is and it will eventually be released after steam. those percentages get updated by me, monthly, and is due for an update. you also have to remember that this initial release of steam is restricted and later after the kinks are worked out, it will be fully released and live on steam. so theres still work to be done.

you'd know all of this if you had stuck around and been part of the Community-Dev team :P family and a million other things come first, we get it though. nice, sounds like a good career, there are schools all over the place lol
