RAT Summit

Post by Sniper62 »

I went to the RAT Summit down in Dallas and it was a very good and productive event. We discussed current issues, future issues, and the future plans of the game. Lots of things were talked about but one was about, what would it currently take to get old players back into the game?

Whatchyall got?

You know my stance, more variety of aircraft, more bombers especially for each country (No new aircraft since 2005 - P38). Clone bombers with custom formations/numbers or ai flying. (something Aces High and Warbirds have had for over 10 years) to make larger formations benefiting both sides.

unfortunately bring in new vehicles is something the team has yet to do...there will be some variants that will be coming in hopefully not too long from now. I think 1.36 will make a big difference on how much RDP/resupply timer bombing will have to do with the game play but we shall see.

Larger airfields or extend the tiles to make a longer runway for bombers, given how small the fields are now esepcially for those with trees on the end of the runway (whose the artist that thought that was a good idea), many a times we lifted off in large formations to only have one or two clipping trees meaning we had to circle the field wasting time.

The Airfields and runways in War Thunder are good examples on how it should be done.

A-20 was developed by the Douglas Company.

A-26 was also developed by the Douglas Company but was a different aircraft (probably the same design team though). It was later (after WWII) designated B-26 which caused confusion with the WWII B-26. Was also used in the Korean and Viet Nam war.

B-26 was developed by the Martin Company. I believe it was retired right after WWII which allowed the Douglas A-26 to be redesignated B-26.

All were different aircraft, although similar in appearance and function.

My first boss was a WWII navigator/bombadier on a B-26 in the ETO.
