Well, if everyone logs in as often and for as long as possible, I'll start meeting you guys ingame. Otherwise, what about a set time to meet? For me, it would have to be any night after 9pm US Eastern time. I can start at nine, but have to take a couple minute break at 10pm to make sure my older son gets to bed okay. If we're flying in the middle of nowhere, I guess I could go on autopilot for a bit.

Now I have to fly a bit and level up, so I can crash...err...fly something other than the lowest tier of fighter. :)

John I got your email.... pretty safe to say if the rats built us a heavy bomber, a number of us would come back. I can't really think of anything else that would get more than one or two of us back.

Also, I have blue chat back.

The number of people playing this game appears to have decreased dramatically on both sides. There couldn't have been more than 100 people in game last night.

Specifically what brought me back was the change in management, the increased timers, but probably most of all, I just missed it.

Even a medium bomber would suffice, a Wellington for the brits, B-25, B-26 for the US would certainly pulled me back in.

Charlie,

What is blue chat? If it's game data how do I access it?

Medium bomber and some updated graphics would be nice but actually those are just secondary. If CRS wants me back all they have to do is give my friends what they want so that the 617 squad list in game is populated again. In fact; I liked the people so much that I put up $1000 for a lifetime sub to make sure I had a way to contact you all back in 2005 (in college no less) and I still check in now and then.

Stationed in North Dakota now, still flying helicopters. Got a wife that loves to game (she wants to try multi-crew bombing) and a new baby that we will be converting into "player 3." I plan on telling her some day: "You can't go to the mall until you get up to the LAN room and level two factories."

Good to meet you, Aeo! I'm the noob. :)

Actually, it looks like the band is getting back together, at least for a bit. Check out the "Welcome Back Soldier" promotion the Rats are running, October 1-18.

Wow great to hear from you Aeo. Glad to hear things are going so well with you. Why Not Minot I assume?

Well the multi crew bug has been fixed and will be implemented when 1.35 is patched. Then you really can get that little tyke up in a bomber and let her provide some Love from Above.

It was good to see you at Tracy's crib and it made us proud to see what a great man you have turned out to be. Something we can all be very proud of.

Keep beating the air into submission and I look forward to playing with you in game soon.

I'm checking the WWIIOL forums for returning vets. When I see an Allied flyer, I'm going to direct him here, so we can hopefully coordinate some missions. I just PMd a player who went by trimcz, who was in the Black Sheep. I asked him to contact any old squad mates he could, and invite everyone here. I hope this is okay, so we can get some new/old blood into the group and have some massive air raids over Germany. Blot out the freaking sun, I say, so they think it's midnight!

*EDIT: Just messaged karu as well. His post said his primary ride was the Havoc. Anyone know either of these two?"*

*EDITED EDIT (9/29 @ 7:45pm EDT): Just messaged danaan (former 56th - Zemke's Wolfpack) and greyman (mentioned Hurricanes in his post) as well. Anyone know them?

*ANOTHER EDIT (10/1 @ 10:35pm EDT): Just messaged savvy and cwo4evil.*

Current contact list:
trimcz
karu
danaan
greyman
savvy
cwo4evil

Well i guess it would be rude not to take up this offer while it is available. If you are flying the usual times as before then I will fly with you guys on weekends.

Continued from my previous message:

I also PMd doc1168, a vet from the beginning of time. He's still "technically" in 17th Bombardment Group (17BG). He's VERY interested in getting back into level bombing and said some very nice things about the Dambusters. I think we may have a new member soon. I met him on TS tonight and flew escort for him a few...err...couple times. During that time, he was showing a bit of rust. He ate a fuel tank once and a tree once, on takeoff, but the other times were fine. He made a couple runs but got nailed by deadly accurate FLAK, over the target, before he could release his bombs. He says FLAK has gotten a lot more accurate. They certainly tried to make a meal out of my little Hurricane a couple times, but all they could manage was near misses. They rang my bell and redded out my screen once, though. That and they nailed my flaps. Landing was fun that time. I had to nose over to keep from running into things, but I got it down so it counted as an RTB rather than a KIA. :)

I missed you guys. I kept checking the Dambusters' TS channel, but it was empty. The only one busy was 4Wing's channel, but they have theirs passworded. So, when will I get to fly with youse guyz?

Sneaking in. Is the 900m bombing limitation still in effect?

It's 700 meters to kill squishies. I forget what ATG, and Armor is. It is based on the visibility range you can see equipment at. I think aircraft are either unlimited or around 6000 meters. If I remember it's 2100 meters for ATG and Tanks. Not sure it's been so long since I looked.

I know yall arent ground pounders but with the latest update (1.34.15) they added more inf weapons and changed FRU placement back to being only by trucks. It seems to have helped bring back a lot of teamwork...Things like armor, atgs, aaa, and ZOCs are a thing again!
