Why I haven't been around the last few weeks

The mother and daughter mentioned in these article's are very good friends of mine. The mother, Hollie, and I went to school together. Her brother is my best friend; Wesley, who lost his older brother 18 months ago and his father two years ago, both to cancer. He is the sole surviving sibling. I have been with him most of the time, and my wife and I went to a secluded place in the North Carolina mountains to unwind from all of this a little over a week ago.
