Epic First Night of the Map!

Post by Sniper62 »

After a few solo runs, charlie decided to organize a mission and that started an epic night of RDP bombing.

1st run, 6 bombers and 17 total

2nd run, 9 bombers and 27 total

3rd run, 12 bombers and 28 total

We were getting an unbelievable turn out and I think a lot of people really did have a fun time. There were few times when the flights were boring, almost as soon as we hit the English Channel we had action up until we returned to the Axis front lines. I'll write up some AARs tomorrow, for now you can check out the few pictures that were posted on facebook, here

ya peg, your missin out for sure!

we bombed all day today and got the french into the 90s% and brits into the 70s% slower resupply...

then we changed over to flying CAS for while and were just laying waste to the allies! we saved Herbermont from an allied attack and then we were effing up Habeys. it was a pretty good day, not as good as yesterday because i think the allies were a bit bumbed about how they were getting smacked by our escorts.

So here I am working on a masters thesis and then I decide to take a break. I randomly come across WWII Online and think about the good 'ole dambusters. Coming to the site I am ASTONISHED to find that my password still works. And even better posts about EPIC bombing ;) Anywho, I hope everyone is well. I am glad to see many of the old names, charlie, sniper, etc... Hopefully, you remember me and this isn't very awkward. I am still teaching and going to school. Should be starting my Ph.D. this time next year, I am a glutton for punishment.

Fly on,

ithica! hell ya we remember you, it sounds like you are still crazy. why else would anyone stay in school that long lol

ya man we went axis this map and it was one of the best opening weekends in a very long time. here are some screen shots from this weekend, http://www.617dambusters.com/Gallery/ma ... temId=1278. im thinking this coming up weekend will be even better due to some of the allies not liking to fly during tier0...

you should sub for a month or too and have a good ole time like back in the day

Nice pics Snipples. Looks similar to what we did last year.

This one got my attention, the HE111 looks different, have they improved the graphic textures as it looks really sharp, or you running very high AA?

Glad I am remembered. I am still crazy as shit. My old machine wouldn't come close to running the game now, and I doubt my new laptop could either. Many years later and I still don't know shit about technology. I saw ben's name around and I am sure he is still an asshole..... (I hope he saw that :D ) Btw, that picture is wicked cool...

That's ok, I never much liked playing with a raving right wing nutcase  Yes, the thesis is zero fun at all. I am sure the PhD dissertation will such more. But I will make you call me doctor... PC's may be cheap but graduate school is expensive lol
