If you are trying to present a picture that is already on the internet then you will need to copy the link. You will noticed that there are some tools available to you when you start a new topic i.e. above, the one you need to present the link you copied and display it as a pic on the forums is the "[img"][/"img]" code (you can click and have the code ready by clicking on the "Img" button above on the series of buttons.)

Lets try and keep things simple.

If I want to present a picture on the forums for example this picture of a lancaster "http://collectair.com/images/Operationson.jpg" I will need to use the correct forum tags for it to display.

So clicking on the "Img" button above should present you with "[img"][/"img]" (ignore the quotes, just to show you what it looks like.)

You will then need to have the link you have copied and place it in the middle of the "[img"][/"img]" tags.

For example [img"]http://collectair.com/images/Operationson.jpg["/img]

You will notice that there are quote marks between the tags and the link, this is just to show you what the code will look like. When you remove the quotes then it will look like this.

Now if the picture you have is not on the internet then you will need to find a place to upload it somewhere, so that you can obtain its link so that you can then display it whereever you like. For this you will need a hosting site something like http://imageshack.us/, http://photobucket.com/, http://www.flickr.com/

To get started I would use imageshack. You will need to create an account there, and then once you logged in you can upload a picture. Once the picture you wanted to upload is completed, you can then find the "i" button for info and copy the forum or direct link to your chosen forum and using the tags to display the image.

Alternatively you can ask one of the admins here to create a gallery account on the 617 Sqdn site and you can upload pictures and link them from there.
