TeamSpeak Setup Tutorial

IP = 66.28.224.196:8767

After downloading and installing Teamspeak it will open up and look like this.

Now click "Connection" on the top left and press "Connect", it will then open the "Connect to Server" box. Just right click in the white area and you should see whats below. Click "Add Server" and name it what ever you want then press enter.

Now input the server IP address (its at the top of this page) in the "Server Address" slot, then put <617DB> along with your game into the "Nickname" slot and then click the "Anonymous" button. Now you are ready to connect to the server so click "Connect"

The server is set up to allow anonymous access but you must be registered before you are able to move to different channels. To register yourself goto "Self" and click "Register with Server".

Input your game name, without the <617DB>, and type a password of your choice into the two password boxes then press "Register".

Before we can move to different channels we first must log back into the server with the login information you provided. To do this click "Connection" then press "Disconnect". Now go to the "Connect to Server" window and click the "Registered" button on the right and input your information into to "Login" and "Password" boxes, then connect.

Ok now that we have the basic setup working and are able to log into game lets set up the more advanced stuff. Go to "Settings" then click "Sound Input/Output Settings"

By default TS is set up to be voice activated but we want to change this as it can get annoying to hear some one yelling at their dog while getting bounced by EA. So press the "Push to Talk" button and then click the "Set" button and press the key you want to use to talk with. Another thing you can do in this window is test your mic to make sure you will be able to be heard, all you have to do is press the "Activate local test mode" that will turn your mic on and you should be able to hear yourself. Once finished click "Close"

Now that we have that setup lets make sure TS is using the correct sound device. Go back up into the settings menu and click "Options", that will open the "Settings" window. From there select the Sound device you want to use for Input and Output. Some people use one sound device for hearing and talking on TS (motherbord sound card) and another (a sound card) for the game. That way they dont have to listen to loud engines while on long flights. (Vista users dont have to worry about this as they can turn individual programs down in the Volume Control Panel)

Before you click "Ok" on that window lets turn that annoying girls voice off that tells you when some joins/leaves the server. Go to the "Sound Notification" tab and check the "Disable all Sounds" box, then hit "Apply" and "Ok"

Setting up Hotkeys

Ok time for some more advanced stuff, here I'll show you how to set up Hotkeys that can do multiple things. Lets go back up to that Settings menu and click "Key Settings"

That will open the "Keybindings" window, then on the bottom left click "Add". Now the "Define Keybinding" window will open and heres where you set what you want to do. You have the option to set a three key combination but i chose to only use one for this whisper. Once you have selected your your "Key", "Action", and "Player to Add" click the "Add" button then you are done so you can either click "Ok" or do as many as you want.

After you press ok it will show you a list of all the ones you created so you can have a quick reference, just click "Close" to get out of that window.

Well your all done, so get ingame!
